Lakeshore EyeCare Center came to our team with the desire to build a new building using eco-friendly materials and the desire to have strong connections to the outdoors. We developed the site by creating a pond from a simple water retention trench and created a unique design feature. The building utilizes floor-to-ceiling windows to increase its connection to nature. The office area has 10 exam rooms with testing and reception spaces and a retail eyeglass shop that opens to a patio area surrounding the pond for sunglass purchasers to test before decision making. Additionally, the building has additional leased space which in the future will serve as possible expansion space to this growing practice.

Nestled into a beautifully landscaped property, this Saugatuck, MI home was ready to turn a weekend getaway into a full-time residence.

Growth prompted this 15 year-old company to expand its manufacturing and reconfigure and refresh its interior office environment.

The first of several multi-tenant buildings in Hudsonville, MI. We believe the building represents “Good Goods” with it’s multi-material selection and a design which resembles multiple store fronts.

This community cantina is an adaptive reuse of a 100-year old structure. Once a neighborhood market and more recently a beer/wine convenience store.

This industrial-style condo building has 14 units – a combination of two and one-bedroom, addressing the demand for downtown living opportunities.

This brand new build uses eco-friendly materials and utilizes floor-to-ceiling windows to increase its connection to nature.

Graafschap Christian Reformed Church needed to add space to accommodate a growing congregation – and maintain the original church aesthetic.

Fairbanks Village was designed using the newest of New Urbanism Principles – with a variety of outdoor spaces recalling a small village community.

Mizu Sushi was a redevelopment of an existing downtown retail space – now a premiere sushi restaurant boasting a pristine sushi bar and simple, modern decor.

This full-service Flagstar Bank was designed to physically fit into a constrained site, blend in with the neighboring historic cider mill and large scale private residences.

Compassionate Heart has a full working kitchen and dining facilities, gymnasium, craft and project spaces, casual living rooms and offices for staff.

Onderground was designed and developed to attract a specific clientele – the restaurant specializes in unique handmade cocktails.

Butch’s Dry Dock was a redevelopment of an existing downtown retail space – now a fining dining restaurant, wine and cocktail lounge and wine retail shop.

Benjamin’s Hope is an innovative residential community of learning, adventure, worship and play – set on a 40-acre campus.

This single-family residence melts seamlessly into a wooded lot with horizontal planes and corner windows which allow two-sided views of nature from all interior rooms.

The Hudson Center building is Hudsonville’s first three-story structure – creating a walkable downtown business district for the city.

Originally a two-bedroom cottage – today this home creates comfort for a family of four, boasting five bedrooms, four baths, and a view of the Detroit River.
