The Compassionate Heart vision was founded by its Executive Director, Donna Bunce when Donna’s first child was diagnosed cognitively impaired and mildly autistic in 1997. After several years of fundraising, the dream of a facility conceived and designed for the special needs of teens and young adults was realized. The facility has a full working kitchen, dining facilities, gymnasium, craft and project spaces, casual living rooms and offices for staff.
